Honest ratings of business ideas — including the ones we’d tell you to skip
Everyone sells you a winner, but nobody tells you the cost
There are a lot of people online promising to teach you how to get rich with a business. They almost always sell you the same thing — a “sure thing.” What they leave out is the part that matters most: starting a business eats your nights, your weekends, maybe a whole year of your life. So the real question isn’t “could this make money?” It’s whether it’s worth all that time of yours.
That’s the question we answer.
We rate business ideas the way a good friend would
Super Fluidity is an Opportunity Intelligence service — a plain way of saying we dig through huge amounts of business information and turn it into a clear answer to one question: which opportunities are actually worth building?
We turn that answer into a score we call the Fluidity Rating — from 0 to 5 stars. It measures one thing: your Return on Founder Time (the “founder” is just you; “founder time” is the hours you’d personally pour in). More stars means a better use of your time. Fewer stars means you’d probably be pouring your life into something that won’t pay you back.
Think of it as Morningstar for starting a business — except instead of rating where to put your money, we rate where to put your time.
We’re the ones who will tell you not to build it
We grade the decision, not luck. A smart bet can still lose and a bad one can get lucky. We grade how good your bet is at the moment you decide — the only part you control.
The answer depends on who you are. The same idea can be great for one person and terrible for another. So we don’t hand you one score — we hand you three: the score for a regular person starting out, the score if you already have an audience, and the honest score for you, starting from nothing.
We’re straight about the odds. Most new businesses don’t make it — about 1 in 5 close in the first year, roughly half within five (real government numbers, not the made-up “90% fail” line). Nobody can honestly promise you a winner. We promise better odds than guessing, and a fast, cheap way to find out if you’re wrong.
The gurus will never write the words “don’t build this.” We do it all the time.
